The fourth day of the 2026 Winter Olympics is now in the books, and Team USA jumped up in the medal count after a very productive and historic session. While no gold medals were won, it marked the first time in American history that Team USA has won five medals in five different sports in the same day.

The Americans won three silver medals Tuesday. Ben Ogden grabbed his first when he became the first U.S. male cross-country skier to pick up a medal since 1976. Ogden finished the event with a time of 3:40.61, just behind Norwegian legend Johannes Hosflot Klaebo.
Sweden then topped the United States in the mixed doubles gold-medal curling game. It was a tight battle that went all the way to the end, but Sweden’s brother-sister duo of Rasmus and Isabella Wranå beat Korey Dropkin and Cory Thiesse 6-5.
Alex Hall claimed the third silver medal. He finished in second in the men’s freeski slopestyle final, just behind Norway’s Birk Ruud, unable to defend his gold medal from the Beijing Olympics four years ago.
Team USA then picked up two bronze medals. Ashley Farquharson finished in third in the women’s luge singles, behind both Germany and Latvia. She’s just the third American to ever medal in singles luge at the Olympics. Jackie Wiles and Paula Moltzan won bronze in the women’s team combined slalom, one spot ahead of Mikaela Shiffrin and Breezy Johnson.
